PRO: This headphones has absolutely great sounds, specially when you download the official steel series program from their website, the bass sounds great also.
CON: the only major problem i have with it is the ear cups are pretty small with not much depth for the ears, specially when you wear glasses these headphones actually hurt my ears by squeezing them together against my glasses. i had the steel series Arctic 1 which was absolutely comfy to wear for long periods of times, doesn’t hurt when you wear glasses. the Nova 7 I can only use for an hour or maybe 2 but due to the pain, i have to switch back to the Artic 1 to be able to play long sessions. I rate this 4 star because its a great product for anyone who doesn’t wear glasses, but a 3.5 star for me personally. If i could, I would return this to get something else more comfortable

Comparing to Turtle Beach headset 600, both do have there good and bad. Been using Turtle Beach for many years and had an issue with it the audio cutting in and out. Turtle Beach also has super human hearing which is a plus when playing competitive while Steelseries don’t have that option. This headset doesn’t have heavy bass like Turtle Beach but good enough. However, the software does give you more options that Turtle Beach software. You can tweak to your likings which is nice. With no mic noise cancellation, you really don’t have to extend the mic to talk. It can stay retracted and others can still hear you talk.
For the price you pay, it is decent. Locally retailed at $179.99 but online, you can pick it up for under $165 after taxes. In my opinion, after testing this product, marketing at $125-$135 would be more ideal.

I recently had the opportunity to try out the SteelSeries 7P gaming headset, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations on multiple fronts. From its exceptional audio performance to its versatile compatibility, this headset has a lot to offer to gamers seeking a top-tier gaming experience.
Starting with audio quality, the SteelSeries 7P delivers immersive sound that truly enhances gameplay. The headset boasts high-fidelity audio with powerful, well-balanced drivers that reproduce crisp highs, punchy mids, and rich lows. Whether I was engaged in explosive action sequences or exploring atmospheric environments, the 7P provided exceptional audio detail and accurate spatial positioning, allowing me to pinpoint the direction of in-game sounds with precision.
Comfort is another standout feature of this headset. The 7P is designed with plush, memory foam ear cushions and an adjustable headband, ensuring a snug yet comfortable fit during extended gaming sessions. The lightweight construction adds to the overall comfort, allowing me to wear it for hours without experiencing any discomfort or fatigue.
One of the standout aspects of the SteelSeries 7P is its versatile compatibility. It is designed to work seamlessly with various gaming platforms, including PlayStation consoles, PC, and mobile devices. With the inclusion of a USB-C dongle, I was able to effortlessly switch between different platforms, enjoying the same high-quality audio across devices. This flexibility is a significant advantage for gamers who play on multiple platforms or enjoy gaming on-the-go.
The SteelSeries 7P also excels in terms of its microphone quality. The retractable ClearCast bidirectional microphone offers crystal-clear voice transmission, ensuring my teammates heard me loud and clear during online gaming sessions. The microphone’s noise-canceling capabilities effectively filtered out background noise, allowing for clear communication without distractions.
Additionally, the headset’s build quality is impressive. The sturdy construction and premium materials used ensure durability, making it a reliable choice for long-term use.
In summary, the SteelSeries 7P gaming headset delivers an exceptional gaming experience. Its immersive audio, comfortable design, versatile compatibility, and high-quality microphone make it a top contender for gamers looking for a premium headset. Whether you’re a console gamer, PC enthusiast, or enjoy gaming on your mobile device, the SteelSeries 7P has you covered with its remarkable performance and versatility.

When I decided to get a new headset for my PS5 I did some looking around for quality wireless ones and landed on this pair. No matter how many I’ve tried through the years I keep having the same comfort problem – until I got these. Gone is the discomfort of hard plastic rubbing the top of my skull. These are absolutely perfect in terms of wear. They are light, the ear cup material is not too hot and this does not rest heavily on your head. I sometimes use blue light blocking glasses as well and these allow you to comfortably wear frames without any friction.
The battery life is really good as well and I appreciate that the power light indicator will continue to change color as the battery drains. So if you have a full charge the light is green, over time it will fade to yellow and then to red and beep for you to know the power is almost out. They charge lightning quick though so I have never had an issue with the battery life.
One of the most exciting features is the ability to use dual audio. So you can hook these up via bluetooth to your console, but ALSO your mobile phone. So if you want to listen to game audio, but also a video on YouTube, you can have both going in your ears at once.
It’s really awesome! And also makes these an ideal pair for people that might just want them for their mobile devices. Pairing with devices is positively painless and the microphone can be retracted at any time so as not to obscure your face. My partner has borrowed these before for work calls and has never had any issues with audio quality.
To me, the sound is fairly balanced, but does not have any in depth equalizer or app that I am aware of. Volume can be relatively quieter than some headsets even at full blast, but it is still more than sufficient to me – especially if you have the dual audio going. Say you have Spotify open on your phone or tablet app, you can control that apps volume while the headset volume itself is separate. This is a really neat option in my opinion and I do it often when I’m listening to music while gaming. These also have spatial audio support, so if your console allows it you can tune these in your console settings if you like the 3D audio in games.
Honestly, you really can’t go wrong with these and I highly recommend for their versatility and comfort alone.
