“The open design allows for lighter weight, improved airflow and more comfortable wear throughout lengthy gaming or music listening sessions.”
“-Really hard to adjust, need to probably break them in FINAL THOUGHTS: I’m pretty sure these headsets are designed for eSports first with such an amazing pronounced sound for competitive games.”
“The cups seal around your ears and give a decent amount of passive noise cancelation and the software included does also give your mic some noise cancelation to cancel out loud keyboards, clicks and background noise when you use your mic.”

One of the best gaming headsets out there
Redlon –
Purchased for Teams and Zoom calls at work back in February. Wanted something over ear that was comfortable and cool for lengthy discussions and wasn’t too flashy. I have enjoyed using it so much that I bought a second pair to use at home during telework days. They are cool, comfortable, and fully functional. I’m quite pleased as with my glasses and ears I struggle to find headsets that are comfortable for hours of meetings. Audio quality is more than sufficient and noise canceling is spot on. Again, so pleased with the first pair that I bought a second pair.

First off, I’m going to guess there are a ton of fake reviews on here. So many mentions of noise cancellation and how good it is at blocking background noise. These have no active noise cancellation on the drivers at all. There is Mic noise cancellation which I felt like initially quieted keystrokes, but now if listening I can hear mouse clicks (i never could on my cloud 2’s), but the mic is louder for sure.
I bought these to replace my kingston built cloud 2 headset which started failing. I first tried to replace it and found they are now made by HP and the new version is much worse than my original. The build quality on these feels a little cheap, but it does feel quite a bit lighter. The cable is also very short for a gaming headset, I had to plug it into a usb port on the front of my tower as it was too short to reach the rear. The comfort is decent. I like the material of the cups, while it feels cheap, it does rest nicely. I find that it feels like it is sagging on my head a little , and when I adjust it smaller, it doesn’t seem to stay and right side always slides down.
Audio quality at least in music seems a little washed out on some songs. I adjusted per this post and it did seem to help (https://www.reddit.com/r/razer/comments/qgvwt7/blackshark_v2_pro_eq_settings_from_a_music/). But I’m still not super impressed. Before my cloud 2’s I had an old massive razer 7.1 Tiamat’s. The cable eventually went on that, as it did on my razer diamondback mouse. This seems to be a common issue for me with Razer products over the years. The cable on this headset also feels flimsy. For a high end gaming peripheral, I wish they would use more/better shielding on cables and make them more robust.
Overall I think this is more of a $50 headset than a $100. I would not recommend at this price point.

I used to own a cheap headset that finally went out and as I was looking I decided to get something nicer. I knew I had to keep my price reasonable and these are absolutely perfect. The sound is amazing and I actually love the sound I get from the USB device more than the built in upgraded audio on my strix motherboard. The mike is also amazing. Acco3dung to my friends the quality is some of the best that they have had come through on their end. One of my favorite things is just the cord length. My old headset had a much shorter cord and I was constantly testing its limits. With this though I have plenty of slack so I can lean back if watching a movie, swivel my chair to see something or even just giving me more options on where I plug it in compared to wherever the closest aux input is.

I do not play games often, and actually only play one……the greatest game of all time…..Halo. I am bias as this game came out during my college days, so it holds a lot of sentimental and nostalgic value.
This headset is EXTREMELY light and comfortable, about half the weight of my Audio Technica Studio Wireless headphones. I can’t believe the difference this makes in comfort. At first I thought they felt cheap due to the weight, but totally understand now why they are so light. The sound is incredible, and the PC app “Synapse” helps boost my non gaming computer to where it can run Halo with the basic graphics turned on. My computer actually says it can’t run the game due to the listed graphics requirements, but allows me to override the warnings and play it anyway. It works well with no stuttering and audio from the headphones are amazing. The spacial effects are great. As a comparison, I was using the audio t wireless headphones before with the purchased dolby atmos app for PC. Atmos is good, but the included THX sound card via the included USB drive is better. I will warn any older users out there like me it does take a little learning on setting up the audio on your pc, but its not too difficult and worth the effort. I highly recommend these, especially for the price. I purchased an open box set for under 50 bucks which was a no brainer in hindsight. I also now use them to watch Netflix movies as well, and have more or less replaced my audio t wireless set as my go to’s. Get these, you won’t regret it unless you are a super serious top level gaming aficionado with the best gaming equipment available. You still may not regret it if you are, I just have no way to compare as my hardware is geared towards design drawings and engineering type software packages. Cheers.

i love my blacksharks, wish i got them on sale though, a little pricey. they dont cancel noise out at all, you can hear people talking through them, so you just have to turn the sound up really high to try block out any exterior noise. if you want noise cancellation, get something else. the bass is really good, the sound is crisp. i always used to use krakens, but the bass and sound quality on the blacksharks is far better.

The sound of this headset is amazing. Crisp high notes and a booming bass are very pleasing and the passive noise cancellation seems to work very well. I still have my ear buds for lighter fare, but when it comes to games and music, nothing beats my Razer BlackShark in my book. It feels so light on your head, you’re liable to get up and try to take it with you to the kitchen. The microphone has sponge wind protection and it conveniently unplugs from the helmet in case you’re just listening to music or playing single-player games. Another treat is that it comes with its own in-line sound card that provides THX sound as well as other options.
