Hey – I’ve been pleased with these speakers I plug in to my PC in my office. They are not for the seriously music fanatic. But for someone who wants just regular music played, I play rock, they are fine. I’ve signed on to Youtube music channel and so I ‘m going to upgrade my speakers – BUT I’ going to keep these too.

These are not 2-way speakers. UPDATE: Started buzzing after a month.
The bottom driver on each speaker is not an active driver aka does not produce any sound. Frankly, this feels like false advertising and should be clearly noted on the site. Instead, the description seems to allude that the bottom driver is an actual speaker when it is really a passive “resonating membrane”. Looking inside, it is clear that the bottom membrane has no magnet or wires. So, when it comes down to it, you are being sold what appears to be a pair of 2-way speakers and receiving a pair of 1-way speakers.
On the other hand, these speakers are well designed. The 1 driver that has a magnet does have a substantial magnet. I’d say the sound quality out of these speakers is best in class (2.0 setup in the $20 – $50 price range) out of anything I’ve heard. The larger driver does make a big difference in sound reproduction. At 10 watts, they have higher sound output than most speakers under $75 with very little distortion at high volume. These speakers have more and better bass than I’ve heard out of similar setups. The overall sound quality is a bit muddy but what can you expect from $25 speakers. I’d even recommend these over the Bose Companion 2 speakers which did distort easily at high volume and can’t hold a candle to the sound output on these (I returned the Bose).
I bought 2 sets of these and use 1 for my computer and 1 for the TV. It works very nicely in both situations. With a computer the small footprint fits well on my desk. They are suitable for watching movies, gaming, listening to music, and general youtube and skype and such. At the TV they are a cheap but significant upgrade over the built in speakers on most any flat panel TV. I’d even go as far as to recommend these over most (not all) sound-bars or theater in a box setups as those often have very cheap components, and low quality sound, that are just designed to pump out volume (often distorted) and gimmicky surround sound features that can’t compare to a legitimate home theater setup.
To sum up, you won’t be DJing any parties with these, but they are very functional and higher quality than most speakers under $50. If you’re looking for something a bit higher end check out the Cerwin Vega XD3, I use those for music in the living room and they are the best pair I’ve found in the $100 price range.
UPDATE: The left speaker started buzzing a little after a month and the return window closed 1 week ago. It buzzes no matter what volume and no matter what I’m playing. I set these at half volume and they’re plugged into my laptop. Poor durability/quality control. Now I have useless speakers that I can’t return. I may have just got a bad set, they sounded good when they worked.

Almost great, but far from perfect

Not bad

The sound of the Logi200 speakers is great for the price.

worth the money, easy to set up, glad there is no bluetooth, looks cool, with treble setting on ‘bass’, sounds muddy, but when on ‘treble’ sounds perfect. I don’t like low base much. It tends to make me feel bad. so these are great, just enough base.

Worthwhile so far!!
I have been using these speakers for a couple of weeks. I turned the tuner to the least bass, however, allowing my other speaker set, with a sub, to do the bass work – I found the mids & highs sounded better that way, and my other set can handle the bass. So, I never really tested these much vis-a-vis the tuner on mid/high.
The cons that made me subtract a star…all to do with the cabling…
– The aux (3.5mm) cable is rather quite short. If your computer set up is like mine – on the left of the desk, it may not reach your computer. I had to order an extension, which worked perfectly.
– Both the aux and the L/R cables are non-detachable: they are hardwired into the speaker(s). This means if either go – that’s it for the speakers – you cannot replace either cable. The power cable is detachable.
The pro…
– I feel like I got the audio output for which I paid. It was either these or the Creative Pebble, but those require a separate purchase of an aux AND power cable to be able to be fully utilized. Now that I basically had to purchase an aux cable (extension), those could have been a good alternative.
Edit: PS I plugged it into an energy meter, and it uses 0 watts when off, and 0.3-0.4 watts (pending on the volume level) when on, whether they are actively in use or not. I’d say that’s incredibly efficient – certainly much more so than any of my other speakers. Add that as a big plus.
