Excellent product for the money. I’ve got two of them now. One is in the living room with the television, Wii-U, PS3, wireless printer, telephone and other accessories plugged into it so that in the event of a power outage, all of that stuff keeps on running. With our 55 inch television, cordless phone base and printer all turned on the load meter doesn’t go above the first bar and indicates well over an hour of run time when I unplugged it from the wall to test it. I’ve got another one in my man cave running my PS4, computer, 40 inch LED screen, CB radio, a lamp and police scanner.
The built-in LCD screen gives you all kinds of valuable information such as the input voltage, the current load displayed both as a meter or as watts, the frequency of the input power, the output voltage, condition of the batteries, etc. When it loses power, it starts beeping to alert you to a problem, but the way it operates, your devices run off the battery constantly and the battery is being constantly recharged, so when the power goes out, there’s no change-over for your devices and they don’t shut off. This prevents power surges or brown outs from harming sensitive electronics like televisions and computers, and gives you enough time to shut them down properly, or even use them for a while if you want. It even coaxial input/output, Ethernet input/output, and its own grounding screw. This allows you to run those networks through your UPS before they get to your devices to prevent power surges on those lines. I run the incoming line for my TV antenna into the UPS before it goes to my television as a precautionary measure.
Not all of the outlets on the back are connected to the battery. Half of them are battery, and half of them are surge only. The surge only side will lose power if your electricity goes off, so pay attention to where you are plugging things in when you’re setting it up. You can use a power strip on this to power multiple small devices off one outlet because the capacity of this UPS is outrageous. I’ve loaded it up with every small appliance I can think of including our 55 inch television and can’t get it to go over half capacity.
These devices are essential for every household in my opinion. No matter where you live, eventually your power is going to go out unexpectedly, and when that happens, it can have detrimental effects on things like your television, game consoles, computers, etc. These items are well worth the money.

What do you expect from a UPS? Silent service, and that’s what it has given me since its installation in February.
I have quite a few devices attached to it – cable modem, Wi-Fi router, 26-port switch (with several PoE devices on that), and a server loaded with spinning drives. We’ve had only a few small power disturbances since February, and only the UPS noticed – not any of the attached equipment – just as it should be.
I was notified of the power disturbance because I connected the data cable to the server, which in turn notified me via email. One of those I recall as the lighting elsewhere in the house flickered.
With this complement of attached devices, it claims (on-screen) that it will power them for about 20 minutes – longer than I expected – but it will also initiate a graceful shutdown should power remain out that long. This unit supports an external battery to extend the power further into a blackout – but the only time I would have needed that – it was nearly a 5-hour outage – so the extra battery would not have helped.
This is not my only APC UPS, I have a similar, but much older model, protecting a TV, Stereo and other gear, and I’m quite satisfied with their products.

I bought this product to keep some equipment running during power outages. It will work fine for the scenario of couple hours outage in a big city. After an outage it will charge again.
When facing longer outages, the product is useless. One, it won’t change from a generator. Granted, the generator may not be giving the pure sine wave. But the fridge, furnace, a bunch of other devices are working fine. This unit can’t, even though has put into lowest sensitivity in settings. Not only that, it will gradually discharge and eventually shut itself off. The process is accompanied by nasty clicking as it is switching its relays or whatnot to try to charge. So I basically have a noisy multi outlet switch with an expiration date, and am bypassing it during outages.
Maybe, it won’t be a problem if you have a super expensive generator with a low THD. But I am not buying one of course just to check if this product will work.

I bought this back up power supply mainly for my internet router and cordless phone base. We have a good bit of severe weather where I live and wanted to do what was necessary to keep my router powered up during a power outage for a few hours at least. I have noticed a few times a “smell” in the room where the power supply is located, but I figure it is working to compensate and control the voltage output. I have checked it a few times to see if it was abnormally warm, but have not noticed any temperature issues so far. It is a large unit, so it being new, the first month it may have been in a “break in” period, and the heating may have caused the tempering of some of the components… satisfied so far for the two and half months of use. Update, 1/19/2023. The smells finally went away, so that was solved with some time passing. Good to keep an eye on any concerns with new electrical products though. The power has failed a few times, but not long lasting into hours and hours. The backup did what I wanted it to do, run my router and possibly my TV for severe weather news for a little while. My main interest is to keep the fiber internet running any time we have a power outage. A fellow Amazon customer recently asked how long this unit would run just a wifi router. I actually do not have that answer due to not having a long term outage, nor have I unplugged the UPS from the wall for a drain down test. Just off the cuff, I would think you could get several hours of use out of a wifi router. I wish I had a better answer, but I am declining on a run down test. I spent more than I wanted to on the backup, but I really wanted to stay connected to weather info when we lost power and possibly in a really threating situation. I have had not issues with the unit so far, installed March 2021. Thanks
